SAY HELLO TO

Abbey

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Hello! I’m Abbey, and I hold a Bachelor of Criminology and a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science. I work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner in the mental health and disability sector, supporting individuals with diverse and complex needs.

I have experience working with a range of psychosocial and developmental presentations, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and various mental health conditions. I bring a nuanced understanding to my work, alongside a thoughtful, person-centred approach, informed by my background and focused on recognising each individual’s unique needs and circumstances.

I am particularly passionate about working with children, teenagers, and young adults on their wellbeing journeys. I also enjoy incorporating play and creativity into my therapeutic approach to support development, confidence, and emotional expression.

I am committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to achieve their goals, with a focus on overall wellbeing and quality of life.

Outside of work, I am an avid reader and enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as my Border Collies, Nash and Knox. I also love baking, listening to all types of music, and travelling.
